Podcasting for Online Marketing

When the advent of blogs changed online and internet marketing forever, many people were curious as to what new form of online marketing and promotion would emerge. Well, that question has been answered and it truly underscores the limitless potential that can be found in the expansive world of the blogosphere. In addition to being able to write online marketing advertisement and promotional material one can now expand to an audio format. In other words, through the use of “podcasting” bloggers now have the ability to turn your blog into a radio show!

Podcasting essentially involves the recording of an MP3 that is then uploaded to a blog. Now, some may hear this and assume that the process must be complicated or highly technical, but the reality of the situation is that there are a great variety of software programs that can be utilized to record and upload an MP3 file quickly and efficiently. So, within a very short period of time you can have a tremendous audio promotional tool designed to promote whatever product or service you wish to promote online.

Please note, however, that simply recording audio information in a haphazard manner will not yield positive online marketing results. Back in the 1930’s, many radio stations simply sold airtime to anyone who wanted to purchase it and pretty much anyone could be a “star” if they had enough money. In time, most radio stations drastically scaled back their airtime sales mainly because their programming became little more than amateur hour with tons of awful programming that no one was listening to! This will be the same effect on audio podcasting if the recordings are poorly composed.

This does not mean, however, that the individual needs a Masters degree in broadcasting or sales in order to be effective, but it would be wise to conduct a little research into what makes a good commercial, infomercial or promotional herald. After all, you want people to respond positively to your podcast and not be turned off.

Also, it would be advisable to include written text with the audio blog as the written text can be used both as a way to enticing someone to listen to the material on the podcast as well as providing stand alone promotional material for the product or service as well. This will greatly increase your odds of success and make your podcast a solid one that will attract all types of listeners. The world of online podcast marketing is a rapidly expanding one so why not get into it on the ground level?

Pay Per Post Blogging

When it comes to online marketing most people believe that the means and methods of advertising a product were limited to traditional text and banner advertisements, direct email campaigns, et al. Well, just when online marketing was pegged as being finite along came a radically new means of conducting online marketing in the form of “paid blogging.” This is an excellent method of marketing that combines traditional search engine optimization link placement with online product reviews. What a novel concept! Thanks to the incredible expansion of blogs on the internet this new method of online marketing is here to stay.

For those not familiar with what web logs (blogs) are they can be defined essentially as online journals that have replaced the traditional newsletters and fanzines of generations past. Blogs are authored by pretty much anyone who wishes to have a blog and they cover pretty much every topic under the sun. While the readership and page rank may vary, the collective audience for blogs worldwide is upwards of 70 million people. Yes, there are tens of millions of avid readers of blogs and this has opened the door for a tremendous way of using the blogs for marketing.

Of course, the traditional banner advertisement was used on blog sites, but this was not very lucrative for the bloggers so many blogs simply did not explore the placement of banner ads. Eventually, an ingenious idea emerged and it has spawned an incredibly innovative online marketing industry. Basically, online marketing firms began to pay bloggers to write promotional heralds or product reviews and then place requisite links to the products’ websites. This allows not only allows for successful search engine optimization, but it also allows for solid textual promotion of the product that is targeted directly to the readers of the blog. This has proven to be a wildly successful formula that has drawn in tens of thousands of advertisers and continues to draw more and more.

Again, what makes this type of online marketing successful is that it directly appeals to a segment of the blog’s readership. This makes the advertising direct as opposed to incidental and that means the response to the advertisement is much stronger than the traditional method. In a way, it is more of a plug from a successful author and that translate into a greater response that tossing out an ad here and there.

Internet Marketing: Role Of Relationships In List Building

Many online marketers, especially those starting out, tend to build a list for the sole reason of selling to it. While this is understandable, it is not necessarily the right approach. Let me explain why. The real reason you should be building a list is to build a relationship with your site’s visitors.

When it comes to selling online there are many marketers out there
who are selling their product or service hard and cold. This can be effective in some cases but it is never as effective as when you build a relationship with your visitors. People like to buy form people they know and like.

So the first point I would like to emphasize when building a list is that you should use this process to develop a relationship with your visitors. You can do this by providing them with valuable information that will better help them in their endeavor.

Once they see that you have their interests in mind and not just yours then you will have far more success. Basically, just put yourself in their shoes

The key to building a relationship is to understand what their needs are and then help them to connect the dots. For example, your visitor comes to you looking for a way to develop a keyword list that will prove to be more effective when it comes to converting traffic to sales.

Your goal then is to show them how in a simple way that they can follow. You can provide them with information that is helpful but not necessarily complete. In other words, you could show them how you go about doing keyword research and then show them proof of how you get your results.

All this builds credibility and then once they can benefit from the information you have provided, they will feel confident in obtaining their goal. This then builds value in what you may recommend later.

Once you have done this you can then recommend or sell something to them that will help make their life easier when implementing this process and since you have built credibility it is inevitable that they will want to do business with you.

These days, with the advent of video, this process is very easy to implement. You can provide online tutorials and show them how it works as if they were looking over your shoulder. This can be very helpful and it makes them feel like they are getting one on one time with you.

To conclude, always be adding value and repeating the benefits. Understand their needs and communicate at their level with a genuine concern that you really want to help them achieve their goals. If you engage this process correctly, you will set yourself apart from all the other marketers who are just out for themselves and as a consequence, your business will thrive.

How To Build A Highly Responsive List

Most of us are aware that companies offer free gifts as incentives as a means of list building. We also know that businesses within the technology industry and large organizations, for example, Oracle or Intel generate leads by giving away specialized reports. However, I want to show you an excellent strategy which will generate leads not just to attract people who are interested in what you have on offer, but also to those who will remain loyal to you for a long time to come.  This goes by the name of BOOK STRATEGY.

One of the first things I noticed when I launched my initial membership site was how much people are interested in content. Whilst networking, workshops, seminars, E-books, CDs and DVDs proved to be fascinating to all, there was one other aspect which created a fantastic relationship between me and my subscribers.  It was a very straightforward gesture but also extremely worthwhile, when I gave them books for free in the last quarter of the year.

When compared to CDs, DVDs, Teleseminars and e-books, a book is felt to carry the most value by far.  With a high shelf value, a book is, on many occasions, considered to be a bigger and better information resource than the Internet.

How do you go About Putting into Practice a Book Give Away Service in Your Business?

Selecting a good book to give someone is easy if you read a lot of books yourself. Find a subject which compliments your line of business and is also likely to be of assistance to your customers, and then simply give them a free copy.  Help is always at hand by having a look at Amazon.com if you are not a regular reader or cannot think of a particular book to present your customers with. When you find something which appears to be interesting, read it yourself and if you feel that your customers will glean something from it, order a few copies and send them out.

There are several sites on the internet where you can buy books in bulk.  There is no requirement for the book to be in the best seller charts, just make sure that the content of the book is relevant to your audience.

Shipping costs are very reasonable.  Using USPS and sending them as media mail costs no more than $3 per book, coast to coast within the United States and Officemax supply covers for less than a dollar making the whole thing an inexpensive idea.

There is definitely something about books which is unfathomable as they connect people at a very special level.  But don’t just take my word for it!  Send your customers books and just watch what happens.  You will be everyone’s favorite with this generous action.
