Blogging

BLOGGING HAS ROCKED MY WORLD:

Learning how to make money blogging is not rocket science. Nor is it kid’s play.

A blog is a business, and how much money you make blogging depends on your ability to “monetize” your blog. One of the most widely used blog publishing system is Blogger. It was created by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. http://www.blogger.com/.The one unbreakable rule for success in blogging is to focus your blog on your passion. We all have a favorite hobby, favorite past time, or expertise. Find this passion and share it with others. Your passion for the subject will shine and readers will flock to your blog to get more of what you offer.

To make money online  it is all about traffic. Traffic to your blog comes before income. Your content rich blog site will attract visitors  and as they read your blog entries, they will invariably turn to
your sponsors for more information. In exchange for the valuable information you provide to your readers, the Internet will reward you with a healthy income.

Connecting paying advertisers with bloggers-for-hire, paid blogging networks simply act as bridges or middle-men. Bloggers are basically paid to write and post their opinions and reviews of advertiser websites, products and/or services. But, because each paid blogging network is different, rules, guidelines and requirements vary. Being professional and consistent are the key   to build a good reputation for yourself.

Let’s look at a few people who really know how to blog.

AMITABH BACHHAN
–is the latest Indian star to realize the reaches of the Internet, and blogs. The superstar has become a regular blogger, Amitabh’s blog is owned by Bigadda, which is itself owned by the Ambani group. It has also been rumoured that the Ambani group are hoping to create a major presence on the Internet  and are using Amitabh Bachchan’s blog as a platform to much bigger things.

JASON McCABE CALCANIS- His first company was part of the dot-com era in New York  and his second venture capitalized on the growth of blogs before being sold to AOL. Calacanis co-founded Weblogs, Inc. with Brian Alvey. They built the company as a network of blogs supported by advertising, also taking an angel investment from Mark Cuban. They recruited freelance bloggers to provide content and grew to about 50 sites within a year. Time Warner’s America Online agreed to buy Weblogs, Inc. in October 2005 for an amount reported to be about $2500000.
So there is no denying  fact that blogging is a BIG BUISNESS.

These are just 3 exceptional examples that haven’t had their taste of success overnight but there are millions of people who are making $ 100 to $2000 a month from their homes blogging part time as a hobby. Who knows what the future holds for them? Blogging is a great simple way to explore ones creativity online. There is also a wealth of resources available to help the online entrepreneur
to run a business more effectively and more profitably.

A LIST OF COOL ONLINE TOYS (web, audio, video tools)

For someone who is into Web designing there are a list of online tools and converters which he is going to need. A Web Designer is very different from a Web Developer. A Web Developer works more on the server side development, web server configuration, and web server security. In order to become a Website Developer, a Web Designer would need to learn additional programming languages and methodologies, such as Object Oriented design and Java programming.

Web Designers may or may not have advanced degrees. A degree in Computer Science or a marketing related degree (Business Administration or E-Commerce) is most common. Many Website Designers are self-taught, starting on their own and learning design skills and design languages as they develop pages. This is big business after all and they all want a piece of it!

In my experience there have seen many sites offering an all in one package. It really  depends on the individual designer to make a choice which suits him/her best. Some sites like www.audio-video-tools.com or  www.coffeecup.com offer real quick sources and download options which could be used for web designing and enhancement. HTML Editor, Flash Form Builder ,Web Design Software, Flash Form Builder ,Flash Photo Gallery, Visual Site Designer , MP3 Ripper & Burner, GIF Animator, Website Color Schemer are  all easily available online for those who want to try their hand out at Web designing. Most of these Web Design software are available as free trial downloads so you can play with the programs before you actually invest to buy. Now if you’re a novice don’t get too worked up cause publishing your site is merely the act of transferring your files from your hard disk to the web server. We normally do this by using an FTP program (File Transfer Protocol=FTP). Some software such as Dreamweaver (One of the favorite web design, authoring and development software that the professional web designers use) have in built site management software which will allow you to transfer the files and synchronize the newer versions on your PC with the older ones on the web server.

Podcasting for Online Marketing

When the advent of blogs changed online and internet marketing forever, many people were curious as to what new form of online marketing and promotion would emerge. Well, that question has been answered and it truly underscores the limitless potential that can be found in the expansive world of the blogosphere. In addition to being able to write online marketing advertisement and promotional material one can now expand to an audio format. In other words, through the use of “podcasting” bloggers now have the ability to turn your blog into a radio show!

Podcasting essentially involves the recording of an MP3 that is then uploaded to a blog. Now, some may hear this and assume that the process must be complicated or highly technical, but the reality of the situation is that there are a great variety of software programs that can be utilized to record and upload an MP3 file quickly and efficiently. So, within a very short period of time you can have a tremendous audio promotional tool designed to promote whatever product or service you wish to promote online.

Please note, however, that simply recording audio information in a haphazard manner will not yield positive online marketing results. Back in the 1930’s, many radio stations simply sold airtime to anyone who wanted to purchase it and pretty much anyone could be a “star” if they had enough money. In time, most radio stations drastically scaled back their airtime sales mainly because their programming became little more than amateur hour with tons of awful programming that no one was listening to! This will be the same effect on audio podcasting if the recordings are poorly composed.

This does not mean, however, that the individual needs a Masters degree in broadcasting or sales in order to be effective, but it would be wise to conduct a little research into what makes a good commercial, infomercial or promotional herald. After all, you want people to respond positively to your podcast and not be turned off.

Also, it would be advisable to include written text with the audio blog as the written text can be used both as a way to enticing someone to listen to the material on the podcast as well as providing stand alone promotional material for the product or service as well. This will greatly increase your odds of success and make your podcast a solid one that will attract all types of listeners. The world of online podcast marketing is a rapidly expanding one so why not get into it on the ground level?

Pay Per Post Blogging

When it comes to online marketing most people believe that the means and methods of advertising a product were limited to traditional text and banner advertisements, direct email campaigns, et al. Well, just when online marketing was pegged as being finite along came a radically new means of conducting online marketing in the form of “paid blogging.” This is an excellent method of marketing that combines traditional search engine optimization link placement with online product reviews. What a novel concept! Thanks to the incredible expansion of blogs on the internet this new method of online marketing is here to stay.

For those not familiar with what web logs (blogs) are they can be defined essentially as online journals that have replaced the traditional newsletters and fanzines of generations past. Blogs are authored by pretty much anyone who wishes to have a blog and they cover pretty much every topic under the sun. While the readership and page rank may vary, the collective audience for blogs worldwide is upwards of 70 million people. Yes, there are tens of millions of avid readers of blogs and this has opened the door for a tremendous way of using the blogs for marketing.

Of course, the traditional banner advertisement was used on blog sites, but this was not very lucrative for the bloggers so many blogs simply did not explore the placement of banner ads. Eventually, an ingenious idea emerged and it has spawned an incredibly innovative online marketing industry. Basically, online marketing firms began to pay bloggers to write promotional heralds or product reviews and then place requisite links to the products’ websites. This allows not only allows for successful search engine optimization, but it also allows for solid textual promotion of the product that is targeted directly to the readers of the blog. This has proven to be a wildly successful formula that has drawn in tens of thousands of advertisers and continues to draw more and more.

Again, what makes this type of online marketing successful is that it directly appeals to a segment of the blog’s readership. This makes the advertising direct as opposed to incidental and that means the response to the advertisement is much stronger than the traditional method. In a way, it is more of a plug from a successful author and that translate into a greater response that tossing out an ad here and there.
