An overview about, How Internet entrepreneurs could make their buck online
Henry Ford once said, “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal”. It is one of the most precise quotes I have ever heard.
Whether you are a small time entrepreneur, or the CEO of a large corporation, you cannot escape the daily challenges of business but the trick is, paying attention to the simple little things that most men neglect which makes a few men rich.
We all heed the usual talk most news channels and internet “gurus” give about the advantages of living your life online. I use the phrase “living your life online” a little loosely perhaps. At the same time there is no denying its pro’s.
What better luxury for my fiancée then to have her switch on the plug, click the mouse and place an order for my favored variety of lamb chops, mustard and spinach from the grocery store three blocks away? Those who reap the benefit of this luxury? Yes it’s not all as simple as it looks! “It’s all business”- The Godfather.
The website design company makes money, the sponsors on the website make money, the grocery store owner makes money, the products in the store get advertised, my fiancée gets the much required rest so she can be prepared for her students in the evening, and I get my peace which eventually adds to my productivity in what I do.
Making money online used to pretty much require you to have your own Web site, products to sell and some marketing savvy. But a new generation of dot-coms have arisen that will pay you for what you know and who you know without you having to be a web designer or a marketing genius.
But it’s hard to tell hype from the real deal. I did a search on “make money online” and “making money online”, and much of the information out there is just promoting various info products, mostly about Internet marketing. I see why people sometimes ask, “Is anyone making money online besides Internet marketing experts?”
Some real good ways to overcome online challenges for successful entrepreneurship today are
Ready access to business contact information. Sales are a challenge and getting accurate contact information about prospective customers is a bigger one. A growing number of services have launched in the past couple of years to help address this, but most rely on members to maintain their own contact information.
Some company’s have come up with a unique method of maintaining contact information , these company’s pay members to help keep information up-to-date on the people they know, not just themselves, and pays them to do so ($1 for each unique new qualifying contact you put into the system).
Advertise other people’s products. If you already have a Web site then look for vendors that offer related but non-competing products and see if they have an affiliate program. Stick to familiar products and brands - they’re easier to sell. To promote those products:
- Place simple text or graphical ads in appropriate places on your site
- Include links to purchase products you review or recommend in a blog, discussion forum or mailing list you control
- Create a dedicated sales page or Web site to promote a particular product
